Letter to Principal

Dear Principal/Correspondent,

Warm Greetings from IAAMS - “Integral Association of Amateur Mathematicians and Scientists”!

Education in today's world has become 'Rank and Result driven' and 'Vocation biased', ultimately justified and measured only by the size of the paycheck it brings. The 'sine qua non' of learning, which in the old times, was to bloom the student's mind and soul to give him/her the fruits of ecstasy, has disappeared.

The true Amateur spirit is 'Pure Pursuit'. It is becoming extinct, predominantly in Mathematics and Sciences. IAAMS attempts to fill this void by providing a platform for amateurs to explore, express, share, discuss, debate and observe. The ultimate objective is to close the gap created by commercial interpretation of Mathematics and Sciences and to let all amateurs, whether existing or past students to enjoy these disciplines for their own beauty.

IAAMS started as a thought in 1998 within a small group of people. What started as a voice then, took the shape of an attempt in 2008, when IAAMS was formally structured with the founding principle of creating and nurturing a common pool of amateurs in the areas of Mathematics and Sciences.

IAAMS' philosophy to revive the Amateur spirit is centered on four cornerstones.

Discover. Kindle. Nurture. Share. Discovering the latent talent in young students' right from their school to encouraging their natural inquisitiveness to providing the amiable nurturing environment to contributing to the society is what IAAMS is for.
We are just a sapling today and hope to become an encompassing shelter in the future.

IAAMS Olympiad 2011 - 2011
Olympic Games represent the pinnacle of human endeavor and resilience. They originated in ancient Greece and were held every four years. 'Olympiad' denotes the period of four years between two games and is characterized by rigorous and arduous preparations for the impending games. IAAMS Olympiad examinations are the ultimate test of a student's knowledge, skill, mental stamina and personal competence. IAAMS has done meticulous research on some of the most famous Olympiads across the world and has amalgamated the findings to spot the best students in the India Region.
